INTRODUCING THE “BARBO BOOSTERS”
Your Denver Barbarians are entering a new era of fundraising.
In the past, we have often relied on a small pool of Old Boys and other donors who have graciously opened their hearts and wallets to the club. Some of these donors simply love to support a club that gave them so much. Others believe that philanthropy is best spent on things they care about.
Club leaders and fundraising chairs would often find themselves calling the same people, asking again for the much needed philanthropy that keeps our club thriving. But this cycle will be solved with our newest initiative to help you support the team: The Barbo Boosters.
This group of online donors have chosen to give a fixed amount, monthly, quarterly or annually. It’s essentially, a promise of ongoing support.
While helping to run the club for the last 5 years, I’ve often heard the same question from our fans … “How can I support the club?”. Here’s your answer. Become a Barbo Booster.
Find an amount that works for you and your ability to give. Then, sign up and and board the ship. Because we’re sailing into open seas … and there’s no telling how many crewmen we need!

Why does the club need this?
The Barbarians are 100% run by volunteers, and all players pay-to-play.
Even at a national-championship level, players still cover their own travel and gear. Barbo Boosters lightens that load so the team can focus on what they do best — winning rugby matches and representing Denver with pride.
What is the money used for?
Your contribution helps pay for essentials like flights, hotels, referees, field rentals, rugby balls, training equipment, and medical staff. Every dollar directly supports the players and operations — no one takes a salary.
How do the tiers work?
Each Booster tier reflects your recurring commitment — from Black ($10) to Barbarian Captain ($500). The higher your tier, the greater your impact and recognition within the club community.
Do I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes. Receipts are automatically emailed to you each time a donation is processed whether that be monthly, quarterly, or annually.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Yes. Your donation goes to the Denver Barbarians Rugby Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 39-3343805). All contributions are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
Do I receive anything for joining?
Yes — every Barbo Booster receives an exclusive Barbarian Club Coin, created to honor your support and symbolize your place in the Barbarian brotherhood.
Additionally, all Barbo Boosters are given access to the Barbo Business Directory. The directory was created as a networking tool to bridge the gap between young Barbo players and the broader Barbarian community.
Can businesses become Boosters?
Absolutely. Businesses are encouraged to join at any tier or discuss sponsorship opportunities directly with the club.

Can I change, pause, or cancel donations?
Yes, you can easily make changes to your Barbo Boosters schedule once signed up.
Changes include:
Increasing your donation
Decreasing your donation
Pausing your donation schedule
Cancelling all future donations
Changing the day of the month/quarter/year your donation takes place
Changing your donation payment method.
