BARBOS GEAR UP FOR BEAR FIGHT WITH COLORADO SPRINGS

You just can’t beat the view

On Saturday (which is indeed a rugby day) your Denver Barbarians will face off of against the Colorado Springs Grizzles for the first clash of the 2023 spring campaign. Last spring, the Barbos 1st XV travelled to the Springs and soundly defeated their opponents to the south. In the fall, the Grizzles clawed back and defeated the Barbos 2nd XV.

How will Saturday play out?

There are two scheduled matches for Saturday’s festivities!

1:00pm - Denver Barbarians 1st XV vs. Colorado Springs Grizzlies 1st XV

2:45pm - Denver Barbarians 2nd XV vs. Colorado Springs Grizzlies 2nd XV

5:00pm - Post Match Social at Bierstadt Lagerhaus

What a fantastic game day line up of Rocky Mountain Rugby to wrap up the month of March!

Be sure to wear your Green & White Saturday! Pictured: Paul Hoskins Sr. & Jim Russell

The connection with our fans (Old Boys, Young Boys, Wives & Girlfriends, and just about anyone who comes and supports us) will always be special to the men in Green & White. The players who represent the jersey aren’t just playing for their own personal drive of winning a national championship … they’re also giving their all each week to represent the jersey with pride.

Trust me when I tell you, the players want to show out for our crowd. There’s just something special about carrying the ball into contact as you hear 100+ screaming fans pulling for you and the team. Let’s do our best to pack out the Infinity Park turf and make Saturday memorable!

Coach Erichsen watches a conversion sail towards the posts as he contemplates the meaning of life …

Coach Brian Erichsen (pictured above) and Coach Tim Hutchins will have their hands full with their selections as we progress toward playoff rugby. They will look to get the most out of a group of players featuring many returning veterans (Alex Wormer, Liam Wynne, Luca Tani) in addition to a newer crop of recruits who are looking to put their stamp on Saturday’s performance.

We know one thing for sure … rugby is BACK and there’s no better spring colors than GREEN & WHITE!

See you Saturday
